Mona Biswarupa Mohanty

Mona Biswarupa Mohanty pays homage to nature, folk and the feminine. The natural beauty, music, heritage and culture of her homeland of Odisha is a major influence. Mona’s works are defined by her depiction of women in various forms, exuding beauty, power, sensitivity and vulnerability. She is greatly inspired by the Japanese aesthetic wabi-sabi and uses graceful flowing lines, contrasting colours and overlaying textures to celebrate the glorious imperfections of beauty. Mona is a member of Tashkeel.
