Mardy Al-Zaawely
Mardy Elzaawely is an Egyptian Arabic lettering artist and art director. His engagement with Arabic letters began at the age of ten, when he started experimenting with writing words and imitating letterforms out of curiosity and fascination with the script.
Over the years, the Arabic letter remained a central element in his journey. From studying engineering to working in fields such as graphic design, his passion for calligraphy and letterforms continued to grow and evolve. Today, Mardy’s work explores the beauty and expressive potential of Arabic letters, blending the spirit of traditional calligraphy with a contemporary visual language.
