Lantian Xie (b. 1988, Manama) makes images about belonging and cosmopolitanism. He is particularly interested in general trading, hotel lobbies, broasted chicken, and those peacocks that roam around DIFC. Xie holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is editor-at-large at Dubai-based publishing practice THE STATE.

Lantian Xie was a participant of Tashkeel's Critical Practice Programme 2017.
