Khalid Al Ali
Khalid Al Ali is an Emirati publisher, writer and illustrator who loves Arabic calligraphy and designing paper games. A former diplomat in the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he is interested in the world of the publishing industry and bookstores, as well as drawing characters, comics, caricatures and characters, in addition to Arabic typeface design, creative writing, traveling, visiting museums and presenting workshops. He is the founder of the Book Gate for Publishing and chairman of the Board of Directors of Zayed Library and founder of the Café Library. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Bradford (UK), majoring in creativity in media and technology as well as a Master’s degree from Khalifa University, majoring in international and national security. He seeks to develop the Arabic publishing industry and, in turn, Emirati writers.
