Khadija Almazimi
Khadija Almazimi, an Emirati designer and researcher in UAE heritage and sustainable materials, has been passionate about painting since childhood. Additionally, she is an avid reader and researcher in art history and theory. Khadija graduated from Sharjah Higher College of Technology, specializing in Graphic Art, and completed her studies in Science Design (Interior Design) at the American University in the UAE.
Over the past years, she has worked in various fields as a graphic designer, architecture drafter, and freelance interior designer.
Khadija was a nominee for the Van Cleef & Arpels Prize 2021, affiliated with Tashkeel, and was among the top ten in the Middle East. In 2023, she participated in Downtown UAE Designer during Dubai Design Week. Furthermore, Khadija is a member of the Hamdan Innovation Center, an SME member, and part of the Emirati National Startup Program.
Currently, Khadija is the founder of Lodge Interior Design, a company supported by SME. Her aspiration is to blend sustainable design with the modernism of Emirati Arabic culture. She is actively seeking to promote Emirati and Arabic culture globally, drawing inspiration from her surrounding environment.
