Ji-Hye Kim
Ji-Hye Kim holds a Fine Art degree in Printmaking from Hongik University, Seoul and an MA in Digital Art from University of the Arts, London. She moved to Dubai 15 years ago. Recently she rekindled her love for printmaking, inspired by the natural beauty of the UAE, and aims to express and reflect the vivid local nature through traditional printmaking techniques presented in a contemporary way.
Ji-Hye’s work has been displayed at a diverse variety of solo and group exhibitions throughout the UAE, including numerous exhibitions at Tashkeel. Her work has been shortlisted for the Emirati Futurism Award – Fine Art, and in 2022 featured at both the 24th Sharjah Islamic Arts Festival and the 10th Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival. More recently, in early 2023 she has also exhibited printmaking pieces at the 11th RAKFAF and at the Korean Cultural Centre in Abu Dhabi, amongst other exhibitions.
Ji-Hye is the co-founder and inaugural President of the Korean UAE Art & Content Association, and is honoured to have been selected as part of Tashkeel’s 2023 Critical Practice Programme cohort
