Ji-hye Kim

Ji-Hye Kim holds a Fine Art degree in Printmaking from Hongik University, Seoul and an MA in Digital Art from University of the Arts, London. She moved to Dubai 15 years ago. Recently she rekindled her love for linocut, inspired by the beauty of the UAE, and aims to express and reflect the vivid local nature through the medium, and through other printmaking techniques.

Having won the Radisson Red`s International Womens’ Day competition in 2021, Ji-Hye’s works were displayed in a solo exhibition at the hotel. Her work has also been displayed at a diverse variety of exhibitions, including two recent exhibitions at Tashkeel. Ji-Hye’s work has been shortlisted for the Emirati Futurism Award – Fine Art, and her most recent project, an installation entitled Unity Prayers, was displayed at the 24th Sharjah Islamic Arts Festival hosted by the Sharjah Art Museum earlier this year. Ji-Hye’s work is also exhibited as part of the Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival 2022. Recently, she participated three group exhibition, and at Tashkeel Gallery, Dubai, and 4th International Miniature Printmaking Exhibition at Dubai Design District.
