Jenna Brooker-Tormey

Jenna Brooker-Tormey is an artist, graphic designer and illustrator. She works both with traditional media and digitally most usually with oil on canvas, gouache, pen and coloured pencil and linocut block prints. She explores themes of humankind's influence on the natural world and how we collectively shape our future, either by upholding or destroying the planet’s beauty and biodiversity. She also draws on her experience of living among other cultures to explore what it means to belong, often exploring the signifiers we use to express personal identity. Influences on her practice include pop culture, nature, travel, Japanese woodblock prints and Asian kitsch design.
