Anas Alaa

Anas Alaa is an Egyptian graphic and type designer specializing in Arabic lettering and calligraphy. His work blends traditional and modern styles, drawing from historical manuscripts while giving Arabic script a contemporary visual expression.

Anas’s creative process often begins with sketching, where ideas develop freely without constraints. He draws inspiration from cultural and social themes, particularly from Egypt and the Arab world, as well as from personal experiences and historical texts.

Alongside type and graphic design, Anas also works as an animator and illustrator, bringing a multidisciplinary perspective shaped by his background in engineering.
