Amna Al Banna

Amna Al Banna’s watercolour paintings are dominated by a traditional character evoking the beauty of the past. She typically uses three primary colours with touches of ink or gold leaf. Amna aims to present tradition in a more modern style. She joined the Collage Talent Centre at Sharjah Ladies Club in 2016, and subsequently participated in an exhibition. In 2018, she participated in World Art Dubai with a group of artists from different countries and displayed a series of paintings depicting the beauty and elegance of Emirati women in their distinctive traditional dress. In the same year, she received the Noon Art Award from HH Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah. Her paintings were also displayed at the Noon Hotel in Dubai.
