Al Anood Al Obaidly
- Home Country:
- United Arab Emirates
In her collages constructed from a variety of consumer materials, Al Anood Al Obaidly studies the visual experience of everyday objects as they shift from two- to three-dimensionality. Collage as physical and conceptual practice is an access point into a symbolic act of personal convictions, physical objects and sculpture.
Al Obaidly’s work has been shown in a number of group exhibitions, including Zayed University Alumni Works, Manarat Al Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi (2017); East-East, New York University Abu Dhabi (2016); Noah’s Ark, Sharjah Art Museum (2016); Art: Process & Practice, Sheikha Salama Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation, Abu Dhabi (2015) and Turning Point, Tashkeel, Dubai (2014).
She earned a BA in Visual Arts from the College of Arts and Creative Enterprises, Zayed University, Abu Dhabi (2013), and she is an alumna of the Emerging Artists Fellowship Program, Sheikha Salama Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation, Abu Dhabi (2014).
