lmran Ali Khan is a post-graduate in Fine Arts from Sir J. J. School Of Art, Mumbai. He has participated and organized national and international camps and workshops in different mediums. He has also participated in several group shows and a solo exhibition. Imran received a junior fellowship from the Indian Ministry of Culture. Currently, he works in Dubai as an art instructor. He is a member of Tashkeel since 2018.

Explore the oldest printing technique of woodcut printing in this printmaking workshop with Imran Ali Khan.
Woodcut printing involves carving wood and taking an impression (relief) on paper or cloth using ink. This workshop will introduce the tools and methods needed to carve your own woodblock and print your own reliefs. Participants will learn how to use and compose negative and positive space to compose a compelling print. The workshop will also include carving techniques to obtain a range of texture, depth and dramatic contrast to create strong visual statements in your work.
