Explore the oldest printing technique of woodcut printing in this printmaking workshop with Imran Ali Khan.

Woodcut printing involves carving wood and taking an impression (relief) on paper or cloth using ink. This workshop will introduce the tools and methods needed to carve your own woodblock and print your own reliefs. Participants will learn how to use and compose negative and positive space to compose a compelling print. The workshop will also include carving techniques to obtain a range of texture, depth and dramatic contrast to create strong visual statements in your work.
