What was your favourite toy as a child? This workshop with Nidanin Woodwork is an exercise in recreating long lost childhood objects that held significant meaning, whether it be to place, people or sensations.
The instinct to protect cherished objects is within all of us. For centuries, people have held on to objects with sentimental value, be they jewelry, childhood toys, or a necklace their mother wore. So what stories lie behind this amazing connection between our memories and objects?
Join this workshop to explore creative ways to rebuild from memory while learning the basics of working with wood. Through cutting, sanding, and assembling, participants will probe their memories to identify 'lost' objects from their past, and bring them to life.
