Calligraphy Advanced Class

The workshop is targeting intermediate calligraphers and typographers who want to develop their skills to the next level. it will cover the techniques, materials and methods that are used to compose and create a fine art piece or a quality typographic design.

In a series of four sessions, the workshop first session starts with general introduction to the art of calligraphy and close study to some classical and modern art pieces and styles. then each participant would sketch out a project that they will carry on throughout the workshop. Hand's on practice and tasks are given during the session.

The following sessions will be tailored to every participant needs and objectives, so enough attention is put on the project they work on, with group review and discussion. this will ensure a good exposure for each participant on the various challenges that they may face when developing an artwork up to its complete stage.

Each session will have a short presentation on various topics, along with demonstration by the workshop leader to the techniques and methods used to achieve particular treatments.

Participants will ideally be finishing their projects/artworks by the end of the workshop.

Note: according to each participant project, additional special items may be suggested during the workshop and the participants may need to order these items separately.
