Art Club

Tashkeel will be offering an art club for young people through out the year. Offering a wide range of activities that will give young people a chance to get involved with creative making processes and techniques such as drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture.

This club allows young people to challenge themselves, develop their range of skills and explore materials in a fun environment!

Life Drawing - 24 September and 1 October

Participants would discover drawing from life, focusing on proportions, perspectives, anatomy, tone and composition. All of these features will contribute to a wholesome approach in perceiving the world they see around them.

Paintings inspired by… - 8, 15, 22, 29 October

Participants would be introduced to iconic works, exploring the artist and discovering different techniques of painting. Each session would have a different artist and a different movement that covers not only the techniques but also the spirit of that era.

Introduction to Printmaking - 5, 12 November
A workshop introducing participants to a range of traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques such as linocut and dry point etching

Exploring Printmaking - 19, 26 November
Extension to Introduction to Printmaking, this workshop would suitable for those who have printmaking experience and incorporate two or more methods of printmaking on to one piece of work including screen printing.

3D Sculptures - 3, 10, 17 Dec
This workshop allows participants to experiment with a variety of materials, including wire, fabric, and mod-roc to create their own self-supporting structures.
