This special occasion is marked by an exclusive collaboration with Tashkeel and HH Sheikha Lateefa bint Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who contributed a bespoke art installation titled “Home.” Designed to provide guests with an unparalleled client experience, the boutique seamlessly integrates hospitality and bespoke services, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the Vacheron Constantin ethos.

Honoring Art and Culture: A Collaboration with Tashkeel

At the heart of the boutique is “Home,” a bespoke art piece printed on stainless steel metal. The image was originally created by Her Highness Sheikha Lateefa bint Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Founder and Director of Tashkeel, and was then recreated as an artwork by the Tasmeem Tashkeel Art & Design Collective. This captivating piece offers a tranquil glimpse into the Dubai desert, featuring symbols like the falcon, Arabian gazelles, and Ghaf trees that evoke resilience, freedom and, are symbolic of cultural heritage. The piece reflects the delicate balance between the UAE’s native wildlife and the landscape while contemplating the interplay between nature and human influence. Through this artistic collaboration, Vacheron Constantin underscores its commitment to nurturing local talent and preserving the region’s cultural and artistic heritage, resonating with the Maison’s philosophy of blending tradition with modernity.

This commission for Vacheron Constantin has been a journey of capturing the natural landscapes and environments I’ve cherished since childhood in the UAE’s desert. The original artwork draws from my photography, capturing scenes across diverse locations around the UAE, which I then digitally wove together into a single piece. The in-house Tasmeem Tashkeel design team translated this artwork to align with the production specifications and the desired interior aesthetics of the Vacheron Constantin boutique. Leveraging Tashkeel’s extensive MakeWorks UAE database, we seamlessly connected my creative vision with the fabrication process, bringing this permanent installation for Vacheron Constantin to life. I hope this piece inspires viewers to observe our natural environment more closely, fostering a deeper appreciation for the desert’s beauty and motivating a commitment to protect it for future generations.

Embracing Vacheron Constantin’s commitment for retail excellence and hospitality, the redesigned boutique features a private salon inspired by traditional Majlis, adorned with Bedouin tapestry accents. The space also showcases the first regional ‘Les Cabinotiers library’ that serves as a hidden gem and invites guests to explore the creative processes behind the Maison’s most distinctive offerings. Clients can discover drawers that reveal sketches, views of legendary calibers, and insights into métiers d’art such as enamelling, gemsetting, guillochage, and engraving.
