Drawing

Join Tashkeel's Drawing sessions, suitable for everyone of any level of experience. The sessions will be self-directed, experimental and most importantly, lots of fun! Each participant will receive a paperbag with easy-to-follow drawing instructions, including Blind Contour Drawing, Collaborative Drawing, and an Exquisite Corpse exercise. The aim of the session is to encourage people to think about the non-traditional methods that can be used to activate your creative side.

Carving Colour

Create colourful and unique drawings using the Sgraffito technique! Using crayons and black ink, you will use specialised etching needles to scratch, carve and unearth a colourful drawing that you can share with family and friends. The aim of the session is for participants to explore layering and then unearthing colours as a drawing tool.

Carpet-Making

Make your own carpet using the basic principles of weaving! With our mini-looms and an assortment of yarns, explore the rich and ancient tradition of carpet-making and take home your own mini-carpet. The aim of the session is to introduce participants to the complex process of large carpet-making with a fun, easy-to-follow exercise.
