Olga Smotrova

Olga Smotrova was born in Lipetsk in central Russia and studied Applied Mathematics and Mechanics. She later went on to teach mechanics and computer science at university. She became passionate about taking pictures and printing photography as a child thanks to her father. She launched a small family business – an online store for photography materials and photochemistry. After 11 years away from her photographic practice, she has returned. Olga is a member of Analogue Photography in UAE Group and has participated in hangout sessions at the Tashkeel darkroom.
