Niki Nazhand
Niki Nazhand was born in Tehran/Iran in 1989. Prior to enrolling in Tehran University where she received her BA in Fine Arts, she completed a three-year academic painting and drawing programme with one of the renowned Iranian painter and printmaker, Samila Amir Ebrahimi. In 2013, she was accepted on a painting residency at Columbia University, New York, where she had the privilege of working with great artists under the supervision of Gregory Amenoff, Chair of Columbia University's Visual Arts department. Later, she moved to San Francisco and attended the Academy of Art University, where she received her MFA in 2016. Niki has attended several art residencies and painting courses like SVA in New York and Florence Academy of Art, Italy. She is now a member of Tashkeel and works from her studio on a daily basis.
