Najat Al Shejni
Najat Al Shejni is a Yemeni artist, who conveys her profound longing for the homeland she left at a young age. Drawing inspiration from her rich Yemeni heritage, Najat's art reflects a deep emotional connection to the land, culture and people of Yemen. Through vibrant colours, intricate patterns and symbolic imagery, she aims for her poignant compositions to resonate on a visceral level. Her work serves as a visual diary, capturing the essence of memories, dreams and yearnings for a place she holds dear. She invites the viewer to reflect on the universal themes of belonging, displacement and the power of art to transcend geographical boundaries.
