Abir Tabbarah
Abir Tabbarah is an interior designer and painter. In her minimalist work, she investigates painting’s ability to reveal truth. Her use of trompe l’oeil is influenced by Houdini’s escapology illusionary techniques. Abir works primarily in oil, occasionally incorporating text. A 2016 International Emerging Artist Award and 2022 Art Circle Award Abu Dhabi nominee, her work is collected by HE Zaki Nusseibeh and art dealer-curator Kenny Schachter.
