A textile designer by profession from Pakistan, Erum Fatimah is currently working and experimenting as a Shibori artist and is inspired by its technique and spontaneity. She graduated from the Textile Insitute of Pakistan (TIP) in 2010 and has since been involved in the dynamic industry of texiles, specifically in product development. She also served as visiting faculty in TIP where she taught various design techniques including Shibori, Silk Painting, Batik, Embroidery, Screen printing and Block.

Since graduating she has had two solo exhibitions of her experimental Shibori work on a collection of scarves and clutch bags. Erum’s work focuses on “Arashi” (a technique of Shibori) and is recognisably rich in colours.
