Joya El Ghaoui was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1995 but was raised in the U.A.E. She is currently in her third year studying Visual Communication and minoring in Photography at the American University of Sharjah. Being a student has not stopped Joya from discovering her own artistic inclinations and exploring art and design through a variety of perspectives. She has experimented with digital, analogue and film photography, and she seeks to show people what they do not have time to see through her camera lens.

Joya is also a graphic designer who feels that designing is more of a hobby for her than a job.
