James Razko earned his Master of Fine Arts degree at the New York Academy of Art in 2015. During his time at the Academy, he received the Academy Scholarship, the New Jersey Heart of a Hero Scholarship, was awarded a summer residency in Moscow, Russia, and was one of six nominated for the Chubb Fellowship. His work is published in the acclaimed book, The Figure. In 2018, Razko received a grant from the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation.

In this 12-hour workshop, students will develop realistic drawing techniques by learning to see visual information more clearly with an increased understanding of the conceptual framework of light and form. Students will explore both the envelope method and an intuitive form of drawing to hone their drawing skills through the dynamic practice of figure drawing.

1 Class (2 hrs): Understanding Light and Form.
2 Class (2hrs): The envelope method- Drawing from life.
3 Class (2hrs): The envelope method continued- Drawing from life.
4 Class (2hrs): Intuitive figure drawing short pose.
5 Class (2hrs): Figure drawing long pose.
6 Class (2hrs): Figure drawing long pose continued.
