Amna llyas is a multidisciplinary artist, currently lives and works between Dubai, Vienna and Pakistan. She has exhibited solo projects both at national and international venues, including Aicon Gallery (London), Seven Art (currently known as Nature Marte) gallery in New Delhi, India. She has been awarded several fellowships for residencies and research programs globally, including Vermont Studios Center, USA; Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop, Scotland, UK; North lands Creative Glass sculpture, Uk. Hungarian Multicultural Center, Budapest. Amna formerly worked as an assistant professor (visiting) at the Department of Fine Arts at her alma mater NCA. She is an alumni of the Kempinski Artists Fellowship, 2011-12 cohort, in collaboration with Kempinski Hotels Art Programs, and has established herself as one of the prominent contemporary artists from Pakistan. She is presently pursuing her MA in Fine Art at UCA (University of Creative Arts, OCA, London.)

This course expands upon the student's use of essential visual elements and principles of desing through lectures and projects to understand the 3D formation using clay as a material. They will also learn about preservation, mould making and casting in various materials with the final closed form. This course aims to provide students with the skills necessary to conduct an independent investigation to create and compose, utilizing the introductory experience gained as a foundation, to develop the knowledge substractive, additive, modeled and casting techniques of three-dimensional conversion art. Projects will be assigned individually to satisfy all interets. Students will then be able to develop an individual practice on their own.
