Tashkeel is launching the second edition of its popular Sketchbooks series, with new cover designs by locally-based artists and designers. Each sketchbook features a specially-commissioned artwork that embodies the artists' unique styles and techniques.
Yosra Emamizadeh is a visual artist whose works are an exploration of the relationships and connections we have within ourselves and the world around us. She is inspired by Islamic art, nature, and the conversations she has with other women. She studied at the American University of Beirut, Angel Academy of Art in Florence, and Harvard University. She also runs the podcast, Tavān Studio In Conversation. Yosra is a member of Tashkeel.

Artist Biography
Yosra started drawing from a young age while growing up in Tehran, Iran. After completing her studies at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, she attended the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy, and later earned her Master’s degree in Museum Studies from Harvard University. Yosra is based in Dubai and also produces her podcast Tavān Studio In Conversation where she interviews female artists and makers from the MENASA region about their art and creative lives.
