While developing the Host Lamp to innovatively represent the cultural traits of hospitality in the region, Vessel emerged in the process of exploiting the potentials of resin within the same context. The result is a multi functional product, fabricated from brass-plated steel, recycled brass shavings and hand crafted epoxy resin.
Artist Biography
Alya AlEghfeli is an Emirati interior designer based in the UAE. She earned her BA in Interior Design from Zayed University (Dubai) and a certificate in Furniture Design from Central Saint Martins, London. She has worked with Kristina Zanic Design Consultants, Pallavi Dean Interiors and Aljoud Lootah design studio.
