Enough 2018 Digital Print On Paper Stamped Soap Glue Detail Of Wrapped Soap Mfa Thesis Exhibition

Since its establishment in 2008, around 27 Tashkeel members and staff have travelled overseas to pursue postgraduate studies in art and design. Some return home to the UAE with hope and ambition to use their new-found knowledge to contribute to the broadening and deepening of UAE arts practice.

The invited artists have acquired an MA/MFA within the last three years and present the work they created at the end of their postgraduate studies. Each practitioner shares a strong connection with Tashkeel as members, exhibitors and often workshop instructors.

The aim of the exhibition is to highlight an important milestone in the practice and professional development of a small group of artists, giving UAE audiences the chance to see a collection of works (not previously exhibited in the UAE), which will, in years to come, be regarded as pivotal moments in the careers of these practitioners, and also of the UAE arts sector.
