Majid Alyousef is an artist, calligrapher and designer based in Dubai and has been practicing Arabic calligraphy for over 30 years. His work is a marriage of intricate craftsmanship and experimental composition. He holds a BA in Fine Arts from Iraq and a MA in Interactive Design and Game Development from the Savannah College of Art and Design. USA. Following a career as a design director, Majid left the corporate world to focus on his studio practice. He has exhibited widely including Sharjah Islamic Arts Festival (2011), Sharjah Calligraphy Biennial (2012, 2014), Kuwait Islamic Arts Festival (2016) as well as at Tashkeel, Dubai Centre of Arabic Calligraphy and private galleries. His work can be found in the collections of H.H. Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Ruler of Sharjah, The Saudi Royal Family, The Hashemite Royal Family, Dubai Government as well as major local and regional corporations.

Majid has run various workshops in Arabic calligraphy (2010–2015). He also exhibited with Tashkeel in ‘Hurouf Al Noor’ (2011) and '10 Years Later' (2018).
