Investigations into Emirati and Omani storytelling traditions

The oral storytelling tradition of Oman and UAE is rich and varied. Unfortunately much of it is undocumented and threatened to become extinct by societies continued distraction of electronic gadgets and social media that has and continues to consume time for both adults and young people. Time spent listening to the oral history and folktales are part of a fast dying traditional culture. I aim to bring life to these dying tales through my continued research and practice.

seek to research the stories that have been documented and recorded by people who travelled through the interiors of UAE and Oman. I intend to bring these alive by interpreting them into a visual language which will allow other audiences to gain access to these ancient myths and legends.
