Sertac Tasdelen is a Turkish photographer who was born in Ankara, Turkey, in 1983. He was fascinated by the power of light in his early years, which gives him the satisfaction of holding a slice of time in his hands. He was presented a Yashica at the age of eight and these first images began a journey, albeit obsessive of attempting to express his inner feelings and emotions through photography.
He developed a technical capability during his studies in Ankara Photographer’s Association Dark Room where his conceptual abstract photography has earned recognition and appreciation.
He completed his studies at Bilkent University, Management Department, graduating with a BA degree in Business Administration and is currently working for a global management consultancy firm as well as running his own photography studio specializing in fashion and abstract art work.
He is fascinated with subverting traditional forms and finding new ways of depicting them, he does not describe the objects in the natural world, but instead use color and form in a nonrepresentational way.
