Since 2006, my work has mainly focused on photojournalism. Through this, I aim to document the events and incidents happening around me, from major sport events to the rapid development in Dubai.
“Dubai 2008” documents the development of Dubai today; while encompassing a fraction of Dubai’s past way of life. The stages of development can be clearly seen in this single image. The birth was from an empty land that grew into what we are living in today, emphasizing the role of man in the countries accelerating progress. The image documents the contrast of time in one single photograph. It is the past, present and future all rolled into one, illustrating the country’s rapid development.
