Harsheet Thukral

Born in Delhi, India, Harsheet works predominantly in the medium of drawing and mixed media.

Having completed her BFA from College of Art (Delhi, India) in 2006, Harsheet moved to Mumbai where she worked as an independent artist and teacher. As an artist she has been exploring notions of identity and belonging. She often integrates personal beliefs, experiences and symbolism in her work.

Most of her works are made up of smaller parts, as she enjoys using techniques of fragmentation, interweaving and re –contextualization. Sketching is an integral part of her oeuvre and her work always starts inevitably with just a single line drawing and slowly it establishes its own energy and growth.

Currently living and working in Dubai.
